Leapmotor has introduced a new light commercial version of its T03 city car, expanding the model into the urban delivery segment. According to Stellantis, the T03 LCV is designed for last mile logistics and professional users who need a compact, efficient electric vehicle for city environments.

The concept is fairly simple. It takes the existing small EV platform and adapts it for light commercial use, focusing on practicality, low running costs, and easy manoeuvrability in tight urban spaces.

A Familiar platform Adapted For Work

The T03 LCV is based on the standard Leapmotor T03, which is already known for its compact size and it is among the top 5 cheapest EVs in Europe right now. In this new version, the focus shifts away from passenger comfort and towards utility and daily business use.

While detailed changes to the technical setup have not been heavily expanded compared to the passenger model, the main idea is to keep the vehicle simple and efficient. That makes it suitable for short distance deliveries, inner city logistics, and other low intensity commercial tasks.

Its small footprint also remains one of its key advantages, especially in cities where parking space and access can be limited. Although the standard T03 is not at the top of the list of city EVs with the best range, its WLTP range of 265 km is more than enough for quick in-city deliveries.

Production timeline, pricing and European rollout

Production of the T03 LCV will be finalised at the Mirafiori plant in Turin, and the order intake is expected to open in April for early launch EU markets, with first customer deliveries planned for summer 2026.

Pricing has also been confirmed, with the T03 LCV starting at €14,590 excluding VAT, positioning it as one of the more affordable electric commercial options in the segment.

Part Of Leapmotor’s Gradual European Expansion

The T03 LCV also fits into Leapmotor’s wider rollout strategy in Europe under Stellantis. The brand has been gradually introducing its EV lineup across selected markets, with a focus on affordability and practicality.

Rather than aiming to compete directly with larger commercial vans, the T03 LCV targets a narrower use case. It sits in the space between passenger EVs and light commercial vehicles like the Maxus eDeliver lineup, where compact size can often be more useful than load capacity.
