Nio ET5

The Nio ET5 is a compact executive electric saloon developed by the Chinese EV manufacturer Nio. Designed to combine dynamic performance with advanced digital features, the ET5 is part of Nio’s growing range of premium electric vehicles now available in multiple European markets.

Nio ET5: Range And Performance

The Nio ET5 offers two battery configurations: a 75 kWh pack delivering up to 456 km (WLTP) of range, and a 100 kWh option capable of 590 km (WLTP).

Performance is a highlight of the Nio ET5. This all-wheel-drive (AWD) sedan features dual electric motors—a 150 kW induction motor at the front and a 210 kW permanent magnet motor at the rear—producing a total output of 360 kW (480 hp) and 700 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 4 seconds, placing it firmly in the high-performance EV category.

The ET5 is compatible with Nio's Power Swap Stations, allowing for a battery swap in just a few minutes. The Nio ET5, like any other Nio EV, is available to buy without the battery inside the car.

Battery Purchase or Subscription with Nio ET5

In Europe, Nio offers its customers the option to purchase vehicles either with or without the battery included. This flexibility is part of the company’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model.

Customers who choose to buy a Nio EL6 without the battery benefit from a significantly lower upfront cost and instead pay a monthly subscription fee for battery usage. This subscription not only covers access to Nio’s expanding network of Power Swap Stations, where a depleted battery can be exchanged for a fully charged one in just a few minutes, but also removes concerns related to long-term battery degradation.

Alternatively, buyers can opt to purchase the battery outright, eliminating monthly fees but forfeiting the ability to use the battery swapping service. This dual approach allows Nio to cater to a wider range of customer preferences across key European markets.

Inside, the Nio ET5 features a refined digital cockpit equipped with augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) support, 256-color ambient lighting, invisible air vents, and a Dolby Atmos surround sound system as standard. Warranty Coverage

In European markets, the Nio EL6 comes with a comprehensive warranty package designed to offer long-term peace of mind. The vehicle is covered by a 5-year or 150,000-kilometre general warranty, whichever comes first. Additionally, Nio provides an 8-year or 160,000-kilometre warranty for the high-voltage battery, ensuring coverage against manufacturing defects and significant capacity loss. Nio also offers roadside assistance during the warranty period.
