The BYD Han is a full-size, all-wheel-drive (AWD) electric sedan manufactured by the Chinese automaker BYD Auto. The Han has been awarded the iF Design Award, one of the most prestigious and recognized international design honors.
It utilizes a new proprietary lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery design known as the Blade battery, which takes up less space than a conventional LFP battery of the same capacity. The Blade battery is also designed to be safer against thermal runaway, even in the case of damage.
