Jeep, the iconic American SUV brand, has launched the Avenger EV in the UK, a compact electric SUV that combines Jeep’s design heritage with modern electric powertrains. The Avenger, however, does not qualify for the UK government’s £3,750 Plug-in Car Grant, which is available only for vehicles meeting specific domestic sustainability and manufacturing criteria. To help UK customers make the switch to electric, Jeep has introduced its own £3,750 Jeep EV Grant, effectively matching the former government grant.

It’s important to note that this grant is only valid until 30 September 2025, giving buyers a limited window to take advantage of the reduced price.

Jeep Avenger: Compact SUV with Real-World Range

The Avenger is a compact, front-wheel-drive electric SUV designed for city driving and light off-road use. The SUV features a 156 hp motor delivering 260 Nm of torque and a 54 kWh battery, providing a WLTP range of up to 400 km (249 mi). Fast charging via a 100 kW DC charger can replenish the battery from 20% to 80% in under 30 minutes, while home charging on a standard wall box takes roughly 8 hours.

Inside, the cabin offers a modern Uconnect infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and plenty of space for passengers and luggage. Jeep’s signature features, including Selec-Terrain drive modes and hill descent control, are included even in the Longitude trim, giving drivers the feel of a true Jeep experience.
