The Nio ET5 Touring is a battery-powered estate produced by the Chinese electric car company Nio. The saloon and Touring models share almost identical numbers, statistics, and specifications, except for their boot space. The saloon features a 386-litre boot, while the Touring boasts a 450-litre boot, expanding to 1300 litres when the rear seats are folded flat.
The Nio ET5 Touring offers two battery options:
- Standard Range battery with a 75 kWh (435 km WLTP range)
- Long Range battery with a 100 kWh (560 km WLTP range)
Equipped with two electric motors - a 150 kW (201 hp) induction motor in the front and a 210 kW (282 hp) permanent magnet motor in the rear — the ET5 Touring boasts a combined output of 480 hp (360 kW) and 700 Nm of torque. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 4 seconds. Inside, the ET5 features a panoramic digital cockpit with AR and VR technology, invisible air vents, and 256-color ambient lights. A standard Dolby Atmos surround sound system enhances the in-car experience.
The ET5 Touring is compatible with Nio's Power Swap Stations, allowing for a battery swap in just a few minutes. The Nio ET5 Touring, like any other Nio EV, is available to buy without the battery inside the car. It is available in several European countries listed below.

The estete and Touring models are nearly identical, apart from in their boot space (386 L vs. 450 L), and kerb weight (2235 kg vs. 2285 kg).
Your car needs to be in power-swap mode for the battery swap at the Nio swap station. The battery swap is fully automatic. According to the manufacturer, it takes just 3 minutes to swap the empty battery for a fully charged one without getting out of the car. The Nio swap station provides a health check on the battery and electric drive system during every swap, ensuring the optimal status of both the battery and the vehicle.
The Nio Et5 is currently available in Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Germany.
According to the manufacturer's data, at a DC charging station with a capacity of up to 140 kWh, the Nio ET5 Standard Range Edition charges in less than 30 minutes. For the Long Range Edition, it takes an additional 10 minutes to reach a full charge.
