XPENG, one of the leading smart electric vehicle manufacturers from China, has unveiled refreshed versions of its flagship SUV models—the XPENG G6 and XPENG G9—for the European market. These upgraded EVs introduce new battery technology, ultra-fast charging capabilities, enhanced driver-assistance systems, and updated styling, making them some of the most advanced electric SUVs available in Europe today.

800V Architecture with Ultra-Fast Charging

Both models are built on XPENG’s high-voltage 800V SiC (Silicon Carbide) EV platform. This new version incorporates an upgraded 5C lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery, replacing the previous 3C chemistry. Thanks to this improvement, the G6 can now support charging rates up to 451 kW, while the G9 goes even further with a maximum rate of 525 kW. Real-world tests show that both vehicles can charge from 10 to 80 percent in around 12 minutes when using compatible DC chargers. This makes them some of the fastest-charging electric SUVs on the European market in 2025.

Smart Tech and Driver Assistance Upgrades

The latest versions of the G6 and G9 offer smarter, more intuitive technology designed to enhance both safety and driving convenience. A new high-performance processing chip supports a completely revamped ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite. Both models also feature a capacitive microfiber steering wheel and improved long-range perception enabled by XPENG’s in-house Lofic architecture.

Inside, the vehicles are now fully compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, providing seamless connectivity for European drivers who expect high-tech convenience and ease of use.

Bold Exterior Design Refresh

The updated XPENG G6 now features a futuristic design language highlighted by a full-width “Starlight Wing” LED light bar that integrates dynamic turn signals. A brand-new matte-metallic paint finish called Stellar Purple adds a refined yet eye-catching character to the vehicle’s look.

Meanwhile, the XPENG G9 Black Edition stands out with a fully blacked-out design. From the body paint to the logos and wheels, everything is finished in deep black, contrasted by vivid orange brake calipers. This new version is tailored for drivers who want to make a bold statement with their EV.

Redesigned Interiors with Premium Comfort

Inside the G6, XPENG has completely overhauled the cabin, with approximately 60% of the interior getting a makeover. Updates include a newly designed dashboard, ambient lighting, and capacitive controls that match the exterior’s modern aesthetic. The “Super Star-Ring” interior theme is available in both dark and light gray tones, offering drivers more personalization options.

Comfort is also taken to the next level. The G6 now comes with massaging front seats that include lumbar support for long journeys, while the G9 offers 10-point massage functions for both front and rear passengers. A triple-layer panoramic glass roof in the G9 filters UV and heat, giving passengers a premium, airy driving experience.

Availability Across Europe

XPENG’s upgraded G6 and G9 models are being rolled out across major European markets. The G6 in its new Stellar Purple color is already on display at the Le Mans Village in France. Pre-registration is open in several countries including the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and France. XPENG has confirmed that official orders will open by mid-July 2025, with deliveries expected shortly thereafter.
