In a stunning demonstration of energy efficiency, the Leapmotor T03 secured first place at the ECOBEST Challenge 2025, the prestigious real-world EV efficiency competition organized by AUTOBEST. The all-electric city car emerged as a standout performer among 15 models, setting multiple new records on European roads.
Real-World Range Exceeds Expectations
The T03 made history by becoming the first vehicle in ECOBEST history to surpass its official WLTP range. With an EcoC 1 index of 109.43%, it traveled an impressive 290 km—exceeding its WLTP-rated 265 km

In the EcoC 2 index, which measures kilometers per kWh, the T03 achieved 8.06 km/kWh, ranking second only to the Dacia Spring. Its real-world energy usage places it among the most efficient electric vehicles ever evaluated.

The T03 also topped the EcoC 4 index, which factors in both driving and charging efficiency. With a score of 6.89 km per real kWh charged, it outperformed all other competitors, demonstrating exceptional performance not only on the road but during recharging as well.
What It Means for EV Buyers
Well, it’s quite simple: it means more real-world on a single charge than advertised. It also means lower cost per kilometer thanks to outstanding efficiency, and top tier performance under realistic European driving and charging conditions.
